Hi Noor,

I am following up from our conversation last night.

To ensure a smooth transition from am to pm homeroom educators I want to
share some clear expectations.

You are responsible for the am program for the TOTS classroom. The am
program for the TOTS is primarily learning through play and the centers are
in place to allow children to freely navigate through with the educator as
their guide.

The am program consists of a structure to allow children to build
socio-emotional connections, work on their fine motor skills, working on
their gross motor skills (physical activities) and also instill a good
routine of hygiene, nap, handwashing etc. This is such a small snippet of
the am program.

I am open to the changes in the classroom as long as it meets the group's
interest and developmentally appropriate learning.

Our program is highly inspired by both Montessori and Highscope methods. I
suggest Montessori infrared play in the morning and High Scope in
afternoon.

Having said that, in the afternoon Ms. Marnie is responsible for the TOTS
group.

Both am and pm routines are essential to building a good wholesome program
for the children. We are happy to have you both in the TOTs classroom.

In order for both the am and pm program to work well it is important that
you both communicate with each other (changes in toys, children behaviours,
parents communication etc).

You both bring a strong set of impact in the classroom however it is
important that you respect each other's classroom layout. Ms. Marnie has
extensive experience and she can really assist and provide feedback if the
need occurs.

I hope that I have addressed the matter.

Keep up the good work Ms. Noor and Ms. Marnie as the center appreciates it
and the children are benefiting from this.
