I wanted to address Ascia's way of expressing herself. When she's frustrated, excited, or experiencing any big emotions, I'm sure you noticed she has to be reminded to keep her hands to herself. Recently, she started kissing SO hard that it sometimes turns into bites. At home, am working with her on that by repeating '*hands to yourself*' '*gentle please*' and '*no biting, only kisses*'. When she has ALOT of these big emotions I'm also sitting down with her and we're doing three or four deep breaths to help her calm down, then ask her to say '*I want ... *' and let her finish the phrase. I'm sharing these with you because I believe that her behavior is normal for her age, and of course, she doesn't intend to harm, but with repetition and positive reinforcement, it could be corrected.
