Hi Mehwaish and Marnie,

We just wanted to give you a heads up that we=E2=80=99re going to start pot=
ty
training this weekend.

We=E2=80=99ll be, mostly, following Jamie Glowacki=E2=80=99s Oh Crap! Potty=
 Training
method.

We would very much like to work with you, when he=E2=80=99s back on Tuesday=
, to set
him up for success and help him move up in class in the fall.

We could use your support in the following ways:

1) She does recommend that the child not wear any underwear for at least a
week, as the snugness of underwear is similar to diapers and creates muscle
memory, but we understand that that isn=E2=80=99t really possible at daycar=
e. We
will be sending him in underwear, with many clean pairs for backup.
However, can you please only put him in a diaper for nap time?

2) She recommends not asking the child whether or not they have to pee, as
they will most certainly say =E2=80=9Cno=E2=80=9D. Instead, can you please =
just say that it
is time to pee/potty.
If it=E2=80=99s possible, can you take him once per hour or after he=E2=80=
=99s had a good
amount of liquid intake.

These, of course, are temporary, just until he gets the hang of the whole
process.
We also understand that holding during naps and bedtime can sometimes take
longer.

Of course we=E2=80=99ll have to see how he does during the long weekend. We=
=E2=80=99re
planning on staying home to give him ample time to practice.

From your end, is there anything you would need in order to support him in
this transition?
