Your training and work schedule is as follows:

  • Training period: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:00 = AM – 3:00 PM (break from 1:00 to 1:30 PM)

  • Paid hours after training this week:

    • Monday: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM

    • Tuesday: 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM

    • Wednesday: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM

    • Thursday: 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM

    • Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (independent shift with 4= –5 children and an aide)

In the next few days, we’ll g= o over more details together, but for now, please read the afternoon routine carefully — = it’s very important that you understand how the class operates.

Afternoon Routine Highlights

  • 1:30 PM: After your break, if any child is awake, take= them to the bathroom. If all are asleep, you may take a moment to relax. S= ometimes I will have art to display or toys to disinfect, and I’ll sh= ow you how.

  • 2:00 PM: Wake up Aaron and send him upstairs with the cook.

  • 2:30 PM: Children start to wake up. Call one child at = a time, take them to the bathroom, remove pull-ups (disposed of in the larg= e trash bin), have them wash hands, and sit at the snack table.

    • Always work one child at a time and remind others to w= ait until you call their name.

    • While the child is in the bathroom= , fold their blanket neatly and store it in their labeled bin under the mat= cupboards.

  • 3:00 PM: Snack time. Sit at the snack table, raise the= hands, and do the “sil= ent wave” to gather attention. Have children place hands on = their laps while you serve snack one by one.

    • Important: Charlotte cannot have oats. If oats are served, the chef will p= rovide an alternate snack.

  • 3:15 PM: Theo usually wakes up around this time. If help is available, Ms.= V can assist you. If not, please wake, change, and bring him with you to t= he gym or outside.

  • Outdoor/Gym Transition:

    • After snack, children remove indoo= r shoes and place them on the bench.

    • Line them up and call one at a tim= e to get their shoes.

    • Lara and Charlotte tend to wander, so please keep them= close.

    • Send Moussa first — he takes a little longer to = get ready. Ms. V will assist during this transition.

    • If you’re going to the gym, no need to change sh= oes. In the gym, plan for 15 = minutes of organized play and 15 minutes of free gross motor play.

  • Merging Groups:

    • On Tuesdays and Thursdays, another teacher will replac= e you.

    • On other days, you’ll merge = with the Leopard group.

    • You can finish once we reach 21 children. This means l= eaving Ms. D with 8 children and passing any extras to Ms. Adrian.

    • Don’t worry — this par= t will become natural as you learn ratios during your training.

Your main focus right now is to observe and learn the afternoon= flow and gradually take more responsibility for managing the grou= p confidently.
