=F0=9F=90=BC Panda Classroom Guidelines

1. Safety First

   - Always stay within arm=E2=80=99s reach of the babies.
   - Never leave a child unattended =E2=80=94 even for a moment. If a child=
 is
placed in a high chair, make sure they are properly buckled.
   - Ensure all gates are closed and the room is secure.
   - Be extra mindful during transitions (gym, lunch, diaper changes).

2. Gentle Interaction

   - Use calm, soft voices at all times.
   - Comfort is key! Offer cuddles, reassurance, and warmth when needed.
   - Model gentle touches and intervene calmly if children grab or push.
   - At Kiddy Kat Daycare, we do NOT use the time-out method. If a child
becomes overwhelmed, please support them with gentle guidance and offer =
a
brief moment of quiet time in a safe, calm space.

3. Follow Their Routine

   - Babies thrive on routine.
   - Stick closely to the daily schedule (snack, circle time, Montessori,
   naps, etc.).
   - Don=E2=80=99t skip diaper checks!

4. Diapering Expectations

   - Diapers are changed at scheduled times and whenever needed.
   - Always use gloves and follow hygiene procedures carefully.
   - Sanitize the changing area between each child.

5. Feeding Instructions

   - Offer water throughout the day as needed.
   - Snacks and lunch must be supervised very closely =E2=80=94 watch for c=
hoking
hazards, especially with our younger babies.
   - Sit with the children during meals to encourage safe eating. Never
   leave children unattended while eating.

6. Supervision During Play

   - Sit at their level to ensure close and safe monitoring.
   - Watch for toys being mouthed =E2=80=94 sanitize as needed.
   - Remove small, damaged, or broken toys immediately.

7. Nap Time Expectations

   - Keep the room dark and quiet.
   - Comfort children gently (patting backs, soft words).
   - Never place items in cribs (no toys).
   - Follow each child=E2=80=99s individual sleep cues when possible.
   - Quiet music should always be on during nap time.

8. Behavior & Guidance

   - Babies communicate through cries, gestures, and body language.
   - Redirect gently instead of repeating =E2=80=9Cno.=E2=80=9D Try using =
=E2=80=9Cno thank you.=E2=80=9D
   - Praise calm behavior and soft touches.

9. Cleanliness

   - Wash hands frequently =E2=80=94 both yours and the children=E2=80=99s.
   - Sanitize toys that have been mouthed or heavily used.
   - Keep floors, play areas, and eating areas tidy.

10. Communication

   - Keep notes on diapers, meals, naps, and any incidents.
   - If an accident occurs, please fill out an accident report and inform
   parents.
   - Write important notes on the whiteboard when needed.
   - If unsure about anything, ask another educator for help.
