We have received numerous questions regarding the measures to s= upport Quebec families that were announced last Thursday (November 25). Amo= ng these measures, we find a two-tiered increase in the tax credits.
Measure 1 - Increase in the ceiling

The maximum= eligible tax credit has been increased from $9,950 to $10,400 for the year= 2021 (retroactively). This means that there will be an additional amount t= hat parents will receive when filing their tax returns for this year (2021)= .

The limit will be indexed to $10,675 for the year 2022.

Measure 2 - Improvement of salary scales

This second= measure will affect the amounts received, more than the first measure. Ple= ase see the table below which compares the old rates for the year 2021 to t= he subsidized rates (for 2021). You can share this table with your parents = in addition to the link to the Ministry of Fin= ance's calculation tool.
