Nous avons eu notre premi=C3=A8re rencontre avec le comit=C3=A9 de conv= ersion. Nous sommes 5 associations pr=C3=A9sentes, soit la Coalition (CGPNS= ), AGNSI, AGPQ, RGPQ et AQCPE. Nous devrons =C3=A9gal= ement faire face =C3=A0 la p=C3=A9nurie de la main-d=E2=80=99=C5=93uvre et = aux augmentations de salaire. Les augmentations salariales sont justifi=C3= =A9es pour notre personnel, mais dans notre cas ce sont les parents qui mal= heureusement devront payer la facture.  Le taux journalier n=C3=A9cess= aire en GNS pour atteindre la nouvelle =C3=A9chelle salariale est de plus d= e 50$ par jour. Plusieurs GNS, dans certaines municipalit=C3=A9s ou villes,= se sont mobilis=C3=A9es pour offrir le m=C3=AAme tarif, pour =C3=AAtre en = mesure de r=C3=A9pondre =C3=A0 l=E2=80=99=C3=A9chelle salariale.

Nous avons un consultant en commun= ication qui travaille avec nous depuis 9 mois. Leurs implications seront tr= =C3=A8s importantes au cours de la prochaine ann=C3=A9e. C=E2=80=99est pour= quoi une contribution de 500$ serait grandement appr=C3=A9ci=C3=A9e pour no= us permettre de r=C3=A9mun=C3=A9rer la firme et ainsi sortir fort dans les = m=C3=A9dias et les journaux.

Les frais d=E2=80=99adh=C3=A9sion pour devenir membre ou pour le renou= vellement sont de 100$, donc ne permettent pas de couvrir les frais pour le= s m=C3=A9dias qui sont tr=C3=A8s =C3=A9lev=C3=A9s, soit 200 000$ pour une c= ampagne nationale.

The Minister will soon be announcing the selection of projects = for the new CPEs in the ongoing call for projects. These will be posted and= we urge you to be vigilant in identifying if any will be located near your= facilities. 

We had our fi= rst meeting with the conversion committee. There were 5 associations presen= t: the Coalition (CGPNS), AGNSI, AGPQ, RGPQ and AQCPE. We all agreed that t= he process was difficult and not designed for existing facilities.  We= will work to ensure that future projects are selected in a more transparen= t and fair manner. New measures will be proposed to MFA in order to change = the process.


The year= 2022 will be a very important year for the GNS network. We will have to pr= epare for the next elections. Unfortunately, our network will once again be= greatly impacted with the arrival of new CPEs. We will also have to deal w= ith labor shortages and wage increases. Wage increases are justified for ou= r staff, but in our case it is the parents who will unfortunately have to f= oot the bill.  The daily rate needed to reach the new salary scale is = over $50 per day. Several GNS, in some municipalities or cities, have mobil= ized to offer the same rate, in order to be able to meet the salary scale.<= /span>

We have a communication c= onsultant who has been working with us for the past 9 months. Their involve= ment will be very important in the coming year. That is why a contribution = of $500 would be greatly appreciated to allow us to pay the firm and to get= strong media and newspaper coverage.


The membership fee to become a member or to renew is $100,= so it does not cover the media costs which are very high, $200,000 for a n= ational campaign.


We = will send you an invitation in January for the Coalition's Annual General M= eeting (AGM). This meeting will be held at the end of January. =
